On Thursday 22 May, presentation of the book El fluir del pensamiento, by Marie Orensanz and Diana B. Wechsler. Wechsler, and screening of the BIENALSUR documentary on the artist.
BIENALSUR and MUNTREF pay tribute to the Argentinian-French artist with the premiere of the documentary Beyond Time, which reviews Orensanz's participation in BIENALSUR from its first edition in 2017 to its fourth edition in 2023; and the presentation of the book El fluir del pensamiento, which complements the homonymous exhibition held at the MUNTREF Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, in the city of Buenos Aires, in 2023, curated by Diana Wechsler, artistic director of the museums of the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero and of the International Biennial of Contemporary Art incubated at the UNTREF, carried out in conjunction with the Fundación Foro del Sur.
"New works and works from other decades met in the rooms of our headquarters, in the old Hotel de Inmigrantes, and overflowed into corridors and staircases. They took the public by surprise in the middle of the cruise ship and welcomed them in the atrium with one of his latest works: interior-mente (...) Orensanz's sensitivity is matched by the simplicity and significance that inhabit his work, which is why we chose to dedicate that exhibition to him, as well as to produce this book and the documentary", says Aníbal Jozami, general director of BIENALSUR and MUNTREF.
The event will take place on Thursday 22 May at 6.30 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Rectorate of the UNTREF, Sede Centro, Juncal 1319, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.
