Migrants

Opening: Friday July 25th

This exhibition brings together four French artists who have chosen to live and work in Argentina. Far from anecdotal, their presence raises questions about a relatively untold migration story: that of people moving from Europe to the South, reversing the typical axis of desire and necessity.

Their work explores the traces of both visible and invisible displacements: nostalgia for what has been left behind, the adoption of new habits, and the tension between belonging and being in transit. Rather than portraying a fixed identity, they embrace migration as a life experience that transforms the way we see, name, and inhabit the world.

From their unique perspectives and diverse locations across the country, each artist creates languages that transcend the concept of foreignness, producing new, hybrid visions where the personal and the communal converge. In this context, migration is not merely a geographical condition, but a sensitive way of being in the world.

At a time when mobility is fraught with uncertainty, Migrants offers an alternative interpretation: a creative, chosen form of migration that challenges narratives about origin and destination.
