Sophie Spandonis

Sophie Spandonis was born in Paris, France, in 1970. She has lived and worked in Buenos Aires since 2007. Holding a doctorate in French literature, she studied French letters and was part of the artist cooperative Objetos Encontrados. She co-founded the Pan Francés gallery. Her work includes photography, painting, objects, and literary texts. She has exhibited in solo and group shows at venues such as Espacio Ecléctico, Galería Pan Francés, and Centro Cultural Recoleta. Her works are included in private collections across Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. She published two books of photos and texts, both selected for photo book fairs in Japan. She currently assists artist Leandro Erlich.
