What happens when you cross collections from different museums at an exhibition? Machinations is one of the many answers that also open up new questions: the proposal involves a repertoire of works from the heritage collections of the Castagnino+Macro (Rosario, Argentina) and MAAC (Guayaquil, Ecuador) museums, with the aim of carrying out an exercise that on this occasion puts into dialogue the visual arts productions from different latitudes of the vast South America. The operation, based on the selection of pieces from both collections, formed with different profiles and objectives, makes it possible not only to broaden the channels and conditions of visibility of the same: the crossings around the five proposed nuclei reveal existing dialogues and show, fundamentally, the meeting points of languages and problems addressed by the artists in modern and contemporary plastic discourses. Fixed or mobile, the pieces of this "machine" reveal a way of thinking about times, junctures and dilemmas.
