RES

RES (Córdoba, 1957) is a photographer and performance artist known for his conceptual work exploring time, history, and representation. He has received awards like the Konex Prize (2012) in Visual Arts, the National Photography Prize (2011), and the Exchange Grant from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina – Conaculta of Mexico (2010). His work has been published in books such as The Trial, the Abject and the Wooden Leg (2009) and Intermittent Intervals (2008). RES has exhibited in countries like Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, the United States, France, Italy, and Spain. His work is in collections of the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires (MNBA), the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires (MAMBA), and Fundación Banco Ciudad, among others. RES’s work is conceptual, exploring time, historical processes, and visual representation through series like Where Are They and the Imams (1984-1989) and Pardiez (1990-1993).
