Now is the moment to express gratitude and recognize the significance of this journey thus far, alongside artists, curators, and institutions. BIENALSUR is a collaborative project working within a network. Each exhibition, intervention, activation, residency, series, conversation—or any other action we undertake—involves a significant collective effort. We are pleased to share this experience once again, which always brings forth challenges, surprises, innovations, and, being the fourth edition, the opportunity for meeting again and continue learning together BIENALSUR also provides us with the opportunity to explore other forms of cooperation, to explore different dialogues and dimensions of creativity, and to grow in diversity by expanding—or contributing to expand—the reach of the right to culture. Simultaneously, we always seek to make a contribution to inclusion in diverse and necessary directions, according to the contexts and situations in which we find ourselves working. For all these reasons, now more than ever, we believe that art and culture are invaluable resources for reconsidering the human dimension, for rediscovering ourselves in their creation, a practice that requires daily cultivation. Thank you very much indeed for joining and being part of the BIENALSUR community. In 2023, we have reached diverse audiences in more than 70 cities across 28 countries, presenting over 170 projects, including exhibitions, interventions, and actions. We have shared the thoughts, voices, and perspectives of more than 700 artists and 64 curators from various backgrounds. We also wish to express our gratitude to the critics and cultural journalists who contributed to the expansion of each of our projects.
