Geiger's work places her as one of the most committed and personal creators of the Brazilian conceptual art scene. Her delicate drawings, exquisite collages and videos, sometimes starring the artist herself, reveal the poetics of her creations, conceived from the intimate and the everyday. Her reflections on the borders and geographical delimitations of Brazil, embodied in the idea of the map, have resulted in different proposals, always with a broad commitment to art and creation. The exhibition presented here brings together around one hundred works and includes videos, photographs, collages, artist's notebooks and installations, which bring us closer to the idea of physical and human geography and to the representation of the map, a protagonist and ever-present element in his work. Thus, the exhibition invites us to reflect on colonial policies, cultural stereotypes, exclusions, discourses imposed by the hegemonic powers and, above all, on the ways of questioning them from works that, in their finish, are fragile and delicate, as Geiger turns his political objects into poetic elements.
