What to do?

There are aesthetic effects of social and ritual practices that may be more consistent than many contemporary art productions. The reference to the title of Lenin's work is explained by the need to establish a relationship of forced dependence between a text and a procedure. In this case a displacement of support takes place since the text itself is replaced by a protocol of action, which is translated into social and ritual procedures that will be put in relation by the works under consideration. The works are not classic, but should be understood as the actional expansion of a diagram of forces that sets in motion an interpretation of the consolidation of a settlement that presents in its beginnings a degree of instability and de/sovereignization that will be settled through autonomous social practices that will often be executed beyond the reach of the action of the public authorities, who belatedly carry out basic urbanization works, pressured by the existence of a reality that they cannot omit. The project contemplates a complex combination of practical events that share a mobile institutional border between specific social productions and artistic practices throughout 15 days. The deliberative devices of the experience include a seminar on popular gastronomy with specialists in social sciences, gastronomic criticism and art criticism; a home cooking workshop with local housewives; a seminar on the cueca porteña; a meeting between anthropologists, artists and communities around the "commerce of menestras"; the setting up of an online radio at the Escuela Municipal de Bellas Artes and a photographic album that shows the experience on a web page.
