Nicolás Herrera
Nicolás Herrera was born in Los Andes, a village in northern Ecuador located in the province of El Carchi. From an early age, he was influenced by stories of fantastic beings and the Andean landscape, which shaped his visual imagination. His artistic talent emerged at school after interpreting a piece by Chagall, inspiring him to develop his own visual language. His work is marked by vivid greens, earthy reds, and magical symbols that evoke tradition, fantasy, and memory from his birthplace. Herrera creates a universe where modernity and ancestral worlds coexist in harmony.
