Alejandro Vásquez Salinas

Alejandro Vásquez Salinas (Medellín, 1979) is a visual artist, curator, and cultural manager. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Utrecht School of the Arts (Netherlands) and a degree in Visual Arts from the University of Antioquia. He co-founded El puente_lab, a cultural activation platform in Medellín, working on collaborative projects, exhibitions, and residencies. His work has been shown in Italy, Austria, Turkey, Lithuania, and the XIII Havana Biennial, and is part of the Museum of Antioquia collection. In 2018, he won the “Referentes” Award in Visual Arts. He has participated in Colombia’s National Artists’ Salon and curated exhibitions focused on identity and critical narratives. He currently directs the Paul Bardwell Gallery of Contemporary Art at the Colombo Americano Center and leads its Deseartepaz program, combining art and peacebuilding.
