Mariángela Aponte Núñez

Mariangela Aponte Núñez (Cali, Colombia) is a transdisciplinary visual artist whose practice bridges traditional media, craft techniques, experimental electronics, and collaborative methodologies. Her work addresses aesthetic, environmental, social, and political concerns, often through DIWO (Do It With Others) and collective art approaches. She has participated in notable residencies, including the Colombia-France Year (2017), El Puente_Lab, RESÒ (Italy, 2015), and was an ELAP scholar in Canada (2012). Her individual and collaborative projects have been shown in cities such as Cali, Havana, Turin, Strasbourg, Montreal, and Buenos Aires. She holds a Master’s in Technology and Aesthetics of Electronic Arts (UNTREF, Buenos Aires) and a Bachelor’s in Visual Arts (Universidad del Valle, Cali). Currently, her research focuses on the intersection of art, body, and life, inspired by Iyengar Yoga and the study of plants, fungi, and organic materials to develop holistic artistic processes.
