Online presentation towards BIENALSUR 2021: ARTIVISM, a book by Antoni Gutiérrez-Rubí

"ARTIVISM. The power of artistic languages for political communication and activism”, is the title of the book by the communication advisor and political consultant Antoni Gutiérrez-Rubí (SPA) that BIENALSUR will present through a new online dialogue, via streaming, on Tuesday March 30 at 6:00 p.m. (Argentine time).

“The relationship between rulers and citizens is changing. Civil society demands that its representatives answer their demands. The protests that today are spreading around the world show this malaise. A digital society, with new demands, disenchanted with politics, going through a severe representation crisis and saturated with institutional and political information, needs new ways. New languages. This book aims to reflect on artivism as an expression of a new politics. And it offers a compilation of references and content from different experiences that shows how the use of multiple languages and artistic formats, together with the possibilities offered by the new technologies, can help rethink new links between politics and citizenship”, says the author , founder and director of the communication consultancy Ideograma and promoter of the Tecnopolítica project.

Gutiérrez-Rubí will be dialoguing with INFOBAE’s journalist Gabriela Esquivada (ARG), BIENALSUR’s Artistic Director Diana Wechsler (ARG), and BIENALSUR’s General Director Aníbal Jozami (ARG).

The online presentation of the book by Antoni Gutiérrez-Rubí will take place on Tuesday, March 30 at 6:00 p.m. (Argentina time) via streaming at bienalsur.org and with simultaneous translation to English at bienalsur.org/en.
