Museo Digital al Aire Libre

2019/06/01

The traffic in the cities has accustomed us to the overload of information: traffic signs, orientation before works in construction, posters of institutions, diverse architectures, political paintings, graffiti, advertisements. Within this last category, the format of the luminous screens was recently incorporated. BIENALSUR, in association with FEPE International and Alooh! will carry out in many cities of South America the Digital Museum, a project that will expand to other continents. An open call invited artists to send videos with the sole restriction that they had to be thirty seconds long. An international committee made the selection of videos to be projected on the advertising screens of the public space, generating interference between the traditional advertising blocks. With these unexpected presences we invited the public to stop their daily inertia and look at another key.
