Images of the genre, by Lucas Martinelli

Society's view of gender and sexualities is based on frameworks and procedures that elaborate representations and figures. Cinema, audiovisual media and theatre create images that go through bodies.

In the context of Martha Rosler's exhibition This Time May Be Different, for which a free public library with feminist content was created, Lucas Martinelli will give an open class to reflect on the deployments of gender in these images.

Lucas Martinelli holds a PhD in Gender Studies and a Bachelor of Arts from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires. He is currently teaching in the Master's Degree in Gender Studies and Policies at the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (UNTREF).
