Can fashion be approached as an expression of contemporary art? Can fashion be used to think about reality? Just 200 guests including athletes, writers, plastic artists and various Argentine personalities participated in the performance by Ronaldo Fraga, who expresses and upholds the South American cultural wealth through a collection inspired by a thorough anthropological research on the wisdom of the native populations and of those who arrived in this continent.

In BIENALSUR, Buenos Aires, the Brazilian designer presented the result of a challenging proposal to four young Argentine designers who, in only 24 hours, transformed a white dress of his own creation into an artistic “fabric”. The process, which was recorded live, and the parade of the 30 pieces created by Fraga were accompanied by singer Charo Bogarín, the great-granddaughter of a Guaraní chief and one of the major referents of the new Argentine folk music.
