Abandoned Museum by Diego Bianchi (ARG) invites artists from Valparaíso to work together on the production of a series of pieces to be exhibited in public places for passers-by to participate in the appreciation and construction of this imaginary museum.
In both formal and conceptual terms, Bianchi attempts to elucidate the nature and capacity of an object/piece to become a catalyst of senses that ultimately depends on the observer and the context.
Over the last years, conceptual and discursive codes safely underlying the contemporary artistic production have been established. Therefore, the intention of this project is to experiment an encounter with a massive audience, without any specific background or regulations. His idea is to use public spaces without any surveillance in a social and cultural intersection area.
Thus, the pieces meet the public without any established parameter in an attempt to turn them into a real object for discussion and consideration.
