Born in Lima in 1989, Aileen Gavonel is a talented visual artist with a specialization in Printmaking from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. As the co-creator of Taller de Cerámica Dos Ríos in Lima, she has become a prominent figure in the Peruvian ceramic arts scene.
Her work blends artistic creation with community engagement. During her residency at GoctaLab in the Amazonas region, she developed innovative ceramic projects and collaborated with the community of potters in Huancas, a renowned pottery hub in the area. She expanded her expertise by studying pottery in Madrid and participating in a prestigious ceramics residency at the Vista Alegre Porcelain Factory in Aveiro, Portugal.
Currently, Gavonel teaches theoretical and practical ceramic workshops at Taller Dos Ríos and continues to develop her own projects from her studio in Lima. Her dedication to ceramics and community engagement has established her as a key figure in contemporary Peruvian art.
