Daniel García

Daniel García is an Argentine artist born in 1958 in Rosario, Santa Fe. With a distinguished career, his work is known for its expressive and conceptual figuration, characterized by the use of color in defined planes. He trained under Eduardo Serón and later refined his practice in Buenos Aires at Guillermo Kuitca’s workshop at Fundación Antorchas. He has received prestigious awards, including the Artistic Creation Grant from Fundación Antorchas (1994), the First Prize from Fundación Nuevo Mundo (1994), and the Konex Award (2002). His exhibitions include the National Museum of Fine Arts, Centro Cultural Recoleta, and Galería Ruth Benzacar in Buenos Aires, as well as Bryggens Museum in Norway. García’s work blends visual impact with deep conceptual exploration, establishing him as a key figure in contemporary Argentine art.
