Denise Gadelha

Denise Gadelha (b. 1980, Belém, Brazil) is a visual artist with a prominent career exploring the intersection of art, photography, and technology. She holds a degree in Visual Arts and a Master’s in Visual Poetics from UFRGS. She currently lives and works in São Paulo, where she develops her artistic and curatorial practice. She has participated in exhibitions such as 47% Women Artists in the MACRS Collection (Porto Alegre, 2021) and Paradise in Pieces (Fringe Arts Bath Festival, UK, 2020). At Bienalsur 2019, she presented Ecos de Memorias Póstumas (UFRGS, Porto Alegre) and exhibited in Argentina and Ecuador. Her solo exhibitions include Náufragos en la Corriente del Tiempo at Fundação Iberê Camargo (2018-2019). Her installation in Antilogías: The Photographic in the Pinacoteca (2017) was incorporated into the collection of the Pinacoteca de São Paulo.
