Zoitsa Carolina Noriega

Zoitsa is an interdisciplinary artist and professor at the National University of Colombia. She holds a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Theatre and Live Arts (2009), a Specialization in Feminist and Gender Studies (2019), and a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (2001) from the same university. She trained in Contemporary Dance with the DANZA COMÚN Company (1999 – 2012) and at the University Dance Institute of Venezuela (2002 – 2003). Her creative work focuses on a poetic and political perspective on the body, particularly the performativity underlying the construction of gender and its associated violences. Throughout her career, she has gained national and international recognition, presenting her work at various contemporary dance and performance events.
