Claudia Andujar

Claudia Andujar, a Swiss-born Brazilian photographer and activist, has dedicated her life to defending the Yanomami people. As a co-founder of the Comissão Pró-Yanomami, she documented their culture and fought for their rights, leading to the recognition of the Yanomami Park in Brazil. Her work is part of MoMA in New York and Tate in the UK. After escaping the Holocaust, she moved to Brazil in 1956, where she built a career in photojournalism. Her activism exposed Indigenous land invasions and mining-related epidemics. Today, her work is permanently exhibited at Inhotim.
