Andrea Branzi

Andrea Branzi, born in 1938 in Florence, is a pioneering architect and designer widely regarded as a key figure in contemporary design. As a member of the influential Archizoom Associati group, Branzi challenged rationalist and functionalist trends in architecture during the 1960s and 1970s. He co-founded the Memphis group, which revolutionized industrial design with colorful and unique forms. Branzi also co-founded the Domus Academy in the 1980s, becoming a major figure in design and fashion education. His work spans industrial design, urban planning, architecture, and social reflection, promoting an eclectic and profound vision of design as an act of thought.
