Dias & Riedweg
Maurício Dias & Walter Riedweg have collaborated since 1993, creating interdisciplinary works that blend video, performance, and installation. Their art explores the dynamics between private psychology and public space, often involving local communities in the creation process. Based in Rio de Janeiro, they are represented by Galeria Vermelho (São Paulo), Filomena Soares (Lisbon), Bendana-Pinel (Paris), and Sicardi Gallery (Houston). Awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship and the Vitae Grant, their work has been shown at MACBA (Barcelona), KIASMA (Helsinki), Americas Society (New York), and major biennials including Venice, São Paulo, and Documenta 12 (Kassel). Dias & Riedweg are known for socially engaged, site-specific projects across the globe.
