Voluspa Jarpa
Voluspa Jarpa (Chile, 1971) is a leading Latin American visual artist known for exploring archives, memory, and social trauma in the region. Her research-based practice investigates declassified U.S. intelligence files and their cultural impact. She has exhibited at the Venice Biennale (2019), São Paulo (2014), and Istanbul (2011). Solo exhibitions include MALBA, Matucana 100, Migros Museum, and Maison de l'Amérique Latine. She has received the Illy Prize (ARCO, 2012), the Julius Baer Prize (2020), and the Artistic Excellence Award from the Catholic University of Chile. Her work is part of major collections including MALBA, Kadist Foundation, and Blanton Museum of Art.
