Nicolás Robbio
Nicolás Robbio (Mar del Plata, 1975) is an Argentine artist whose work explores the intersections of art, technology, engineering, mathematics, and everyday objects. His practice transforms simple elements into poetic systems that reflect on knowledge and the structures shaping human life. Based between Buenos Aires and São Paulo, he graduated in Fine Arts from the Escuela Martín A. Malharro. Robbio has held solo exhibitions at the Museu de Arte Moderna, São Paulo (2016), Museu da Cidade, Lisbon (2015), Galeria Vermelho, São Paulo (2014), and Galerie Invaliden1, Berlin (2013). His work has also been included in group shows at DHC/Art Foundation, Montreal; MAC Lyon; Simon Lee Gallery, London; and Espai d’Art Contemporani de Castelló. In 2015 he won the Marcantonio Vilaça Prize at Palácio das Artes, Belo Horizonte, strengthening his international recognition.
