Andrés Argüelles Vigo, a prominent Peruvian visual artist, is known for his unique approach to the appropriation and deconstruction of art history, primarily through painting. Graduating with honors from the Escuela de Bellas Artes del Perú in 2017, he has been recognized with awards such as First Place in the II National Painting Contest Nuevas Visiones and the Joven ICPNA 2017 Stimulus Award. His work has been selected for major events, including the Premio Nacional de Pintura BCRP 2019 and the Bienal Sur in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Currently represented by Ginsberg Gallery in Lima, Peru, Argüelles Vigo continues to create new historical narratives through his artistic interventions.
