Clément Cogitore
Clément Cogitore, a French artist and filmmaker, blends cinema and contemporary art to explore collective memory, rituals, and the sacred. Trained at the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg and Le Fresnoy, his work has been exhibited at Palais de Tokyo, Centre Pompidou, and MoMA.
His debut feature film, Neither Heaven nor Earth (2015), won awards at Cannes and received a César nomination. In 2018, he won the prestigious Marcel Duchamp Prize for The Evil Eye. His documentary Braguino (2017) earned multiple accolades. In 2017, he transformed Paris Opera with his adaptation of Les Indes galantes, merging Krump dance with classical music.
Cogitore stands as a leading figure in contemporary visual art, redefining the boundaries of film and installation.
