Dani Spadotto is a Brazilian artist born in 1978 in São Paulo, currently living and working between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. She is pursuing a PhD in Interdisciplinary Poetics at UFRJ in collaboration with FCSH NOVA Lisbon, researching the relationship between art, light-darkness, and Western epistemology. She has a background in Architecture and Urbanism and holds a Master’s degree in Visual Languages from UFRJ.
Her artistic practice spans performance, photography, and video, exploring connections between contemporary art, memory, and mental health. She has participated in events such as BienalSUR at MAAC Guayaquil, the Annual Performance Cycle Clemente Padín at SUBTE Montevideo, and the SALATaller residency at Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo. Additionally, she co-curated Interjecciones SUR | Geografías de las Violencias, exhibited in São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Neuquén, and Palma de Mallorca.
