Charly Nijensohn

Born in Buenos Aires in 1966, Nijensohn examines the human-nature relationship through works like Dead Forest (2015), which critiques the environmental impact of hydroelectric dams in South America. Starting in video art during the 1990s, his practice expanded to include performance and installation, often addressing indigenous displacement and ecological intervention. A co-founder of Organización Negra, Nijensohn continues creating immersive and socially engaged projects.
