Faisal Samra

Faisal Samra is one of the most influential artists from the Persian Gulf and a pioneer of conceptual art in the Middle East. His work is known for critiquing the visual culture systems of mass media and politics, utilizing digital photography, painting, sculpture, video, and performance. Samra studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and his works have been exhibited in major museums and biennials.
