Pedro G. Romero
Pedro G. Romero (Spain, 1964) is a visual artist, curator, and researcher based in Seville. His practice integrates archive, performance, and writing to explore the relationships between iconoclasm, popular culture, and politics. He is the creator of Archivo F.X., a long-term investigation into the destruction of religious images in Spain during the 19th and 20th centuries. He has collaborated with the Museo Reina Sofía, the MACBA, and Documenta Kassel, among other institutions. His engagement with flamenco as a conceptual practice has led to collaborations with figures such as Israel Galván. He has participated in international biennials and published extensively on art, politics, and visual culture.
