Daisuke Nagaoka
Daisuke Nagaoka is a Japanese artist born in 1973 in Yamagata, currently based in Tokyo. A graduate of Wimbledon School of Arts in London, his work merges drawing and video to explore the fragility of memory. His intricate, layered pencil sketches capture fleeting recollections, while his video pieces reflect the inevitable process of forgetting.
He also develops projects such as Re-constellation, a public reading initiative connecting collective memories, and The Sphere House, his latest architectural drawing work. His exhibitions have been featured in Tokyo, Paris, and Kobe, notably at hpgrp GALLERY TOKYO and Yukiko Kawase.
