Carolina Golder is an Argentine visual artist and educator, best known for her work with Grupo de Arte Callejero (G.A.C.), an activist art collective founded in Buenos Aires in 1997. Her practice merges political art, urban interventions, and human rights activism. As a professor at the National University of the Arts (UNA), she integrates education, artistic production, and cultural advocacy.
G.A.C. has exhibited at major international events such as the 50th Venice Biennale (2003), Ex Argentina at the Ludwig Museum (2004), Disobedience Archive (2012, 2013, 2022), and Giro gráfico at the Reina Sofía Museum (2022). Their piece Carteles de la Memoria, which won the Sculpture Competition for Parque de la Memoria in 1999, remains a significant work in Argentina’s activist art scene. In 2009, G.A.C. published Pensamientos, prácticas y acciones, later translated into English by Common Notions in 2019.
