Alejandro Puente was a renowned Argentine artist known for his conceptual art and geometric abstraction. His work is characterized by the innovative use of materials such as cork, chipboard, sawdust, and feathers. The influence of Amerindian weaving and the active use of color are prominent in his art. He represented Argentina in the São Paulo Biennale in 1985 and was named a Full Academician at the National Academy of Fine Arts.
