Daniel Spoerri

Daniel Spoerri is a Swiss artist born in 1930 in Romania, regarded as a key figure in Nouveau Réalisme and the Fluxus movement. He is best known for his snare-pictures, assemblages that transform everyday objects into art by fixing them onto tables displayed vertically. He is also the author of Anecdoted Topography of Chance, a literary work mapping objects in his environment and linking them to personal memories. His work challenges traditional notions of art and memory, establishing him as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.
