Leticia Obeid
Leticia Obeid (1975, Córdoba, Argentina) is a visual artist and writer focused on the relationship between language, words, and images. Her works are intimate and fragmentary, akin to an ever-changing notebook that remains accessible. Key themes in her art include communication issues, translation between different worlds, and the impact of reading on perception.
Obeid holds a degree in painting from the National University of Córdoba and has worked with video since 2001, a medium that has become central to her practice. She has been a resident at prestigious institutions like the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris and Art Omi in New York. Her work has been featured in major exhibitions and awards, including Petrobrás-ArteBA (2006) and the 54th Venice Biennale (2011). Obeid's publications include Galería de copias (2023).
