Agustín Genoud is an Argentine performer, musician, and academic specializing in contemporary voice and posthumanism. His research focuses on creating systems and processes that transform vocal production, utilizing expanded voice techniques with machinic and animalistic gestures. He has been commissioned for works at the New Opera Festival and the Queer Art Festival, and in 2023, he produced a radio art piece at the Radio Art Residency Weimar, supported by Deutschlandfunk Kultur and the Goethe-Institut.
In 2024, he was awarded the Music & Sound scholarship from the Berliner Künstler*programm of DAAD, further establishing his international presence. His work has been showcased at Documenta 15, CTM Festival, Tsonami Sound Art Festival, Sonandes Biennial, Festival Ruido, and the Experimental Center of Teatro Colón, exploring the relationship between voice, technology, and sound art.
As a researcher and professor, he teaches at the National University of the Arts and the National University of Tres de Febrero, while also leading workshops and lectures at Freie Universität, Bauhaus Universität, and Metabody Symposium. His work is positioned at the intersection of sound art, vocal experimentation, and posthumanist studies.
