Gabriela Munguía

Gabriela Munguía is a Mexican artist, teacher and researcher. Her work explores intersections between environmental humanities, science, and technology through an experimental and critical approach. She creates multimedia works such as robotic, sonic and light installations, site-specific interventions, videos, and performances. Founder of the Invisible Ecologies Lab and co-founder of Electrobiota Collective, she has exhibited her work in over 15 countries. Her projects have received support from FONCA-CONACYT (Mexico), V2_ (Netherlands), Prince Claus Fund, AUF, and the Argentine National Arts Fund, among others. She has won awards from UNTREF, the Kosice Biennial, and Fundación ITAÚ. Munguía advocates for open-source, community-based technologies, linking art, ecology, and environmental justice.
