Santiago Colombo Migliorero
Santiago Colombo Migliorero (Argentina, 1992) is a visual and audiovisual artist working across contemporary sculpture, video art, animation, and digital media. His practice investigates the memory of objects, material transformations, traces, ghosts, and temporality, exploring the dialogue between physical matter and virtual environments. Through sculpture, mechanical devices, CGI, and moving image, he examines the boundaries between digital and non-digital practices, proposing hybrid material and technological worlds.
He holds a Master’s degree in Contemporary Art from Círculo de Bellas Artes Madrid–UC3M (Spain) and a BA in Sculpture from the National University of La Plata (Argentina). He has undertaken international residencies at ACC Weimar (Germany), BilbaoArte Fundazioa (Spain), La Maison des Auteurs (France), Artist Residency Enschede (Netherlands), and Digital on Stage–Kibla (Slovenia), among others.
He received First Prize in Sculpture at the 111th National Visual Arts Salon (CC Kirchner, Argentina) and First Prize at the Provincial Visual Arts Salon (Museo Pettoruti), along with awards in animation and video festivals. His work has been exhibited at Artium Museoa, Museum of Contemporary Art of Alicante, Museum of Contemporary Art of Bogotá, Matadero Madrid, MALBA, Fantoche (Switzerland), Zagreb Animation Festival, and BAFICI.
