Ali Kazma

Ali Kazma (b. 1971, Istanbul) is a globally recognized video artist whose works delve into the intricacies and enigmas of human activity, creating spaces that inspire aesthetic and ethical discourse. After completing his MA at The New School in New York City (1998), Kazma returned to Istanbul, where he continues to live and work. Kazma’s art has been featured in prestigious biennials, including Venice, Istanbul, Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Thessaloniki, Lyon, and Havana. His solo show at the Pavilion of Turkey during the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013 remains a career highlight. Major institutions showcasing his work include Musée d’art Contemporain (Lyon), ARTER (Istanbul), Lenbachhaus (Munich), MAXXI (Rome), Hirshhorn Museum (Washington DC), MEP (Paris), and Jeu de Paume (Paris).
