Camilo Guinot
Camilo Guinot (born in Mercedes, Buenos Aires Province, 1970) is an Argentine contemporary visual artist based in Buenos Aires. His practice focuses on sculpture and installation, investigating materiality, landscape, and spatial processes within contemporary art discourse.
He completed mentorship programs with Pablo Siquier and Alicia Herrero and participated in the Visual Arts Tutorship Program (2007) and the Laboratory for Research in Contemporary Artistic Practices (LIPAC, 2008) at Centro Cultural Ricardo Rojas, University of Buenos Aires.
Guinot has received major grants including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant (2024) and multiple Creation Grants from Argentina’s National Fund for the Arts (2021, 2017, 2014), as well as BECAR Cultura (2017) and Sur Polar – National Antarctic Directorate (2013). His work has been recognized in the National Visual Arts Salon and by institutions such as Itaú Cultural and Buenos Aires Art Week.
He has undertaken international residencies in Uruguay, Colombia, Chile, and Antarctica, experiences that inform his engagement with territory and environment. His solo exhibitions include Museo MAR (Mar del Plata), Museum of Contemporary Art Salta, Centro Cultural Recoleta, Museo Emilio Caraffa, and EAC Montevideo.
His works are held in significant public and private collections across Argentina, Uruguay, and the United States.
