Andrea Mármol is a Guatemalan artist born in La Antigua Guatemala in 1988. She started her artistic journey at the Espira/La Espora residency in Nicaragua, where she developed her contemporary painting and new media projects. Her work includes painting, video, and public interventions, and she has collaborated with artist Alberto Rodríguez. Andrea has exhibited in major group exhibitions, such as the International Festival of Visual Contemporary Art in Quito, Ecuador, and Turnachkinder Haus in Zurich, Switzerland. She is also the co-founder of the MarES Association in Guatemala, promoting critical contemporary art education.
