Minia Biabiany

Minia Biabiany (Guadeloupe, French West Indies, 1988) is a contemporary visual artist living and working between Mexico City and Saint-Claude, Guadeloupe. Her practice explores the intersection of colonial histories, territory, and processes of learning and reading. Through site-specific installations, video, drawing, and organic materials, she develops a poetics of place that unfolds slowly and without evident hierarchy, shaped by the interaction between sensitive spatial elements, plants, moving images, and architecture.
