Pamela Diamante
Pamela Diamante (Bari, Italy, 1985) is an Italian contemporary artist with an interdisciplinary practice focused on the relationship between social classes and structures of political and financial power. She works across audiovisual media, photography, sculpture, and installation, developing research-based projects that critically examine cultural, economic, and anthropological mechanisms shaping knowledge production and communication systems.
From 2002 to 2007 she served in the Italian Army, an experience that informs her reflection on authority, hierarchy, and institutional structures. In 2016 she earned a diploma in Sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts of Bari. Her practice operates as an open and dynamic process, materializing in artworks and dispositifs that activate viewer participation and challenge conventional models of representation and power.
Since 2022, she has directed the Contemporary Art Focus of the BIG Bari International Gender Festival, presenting international artists including Franko B (2022), Regina José Galindo (2023), the DEMOCRACIA collective (2024), and Berna Reale (2025).
