Adrian Schindler

Adrian Schindler (1989, FR/DE) is an artist whose practice operates between research, performance, and editorial production, investigating historical narratives, displacement, and forms of public memory. His work unfolds through exhibitions, screenings, performative activations, and writing as interconnected formats. He holds an MA in Art in Context from the Universität der Künste Berlin and an MFA from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, and studied performance in Chicago. Between 2017 and 2019, he participated in the Research Platform and Doctoral Practice in Arts in Geneva. His work has been presented at institutions including MACBA (Barcelona), Collection Lambert (Avignon), Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (YCRP), La Casa Encendida (Madrid), and La Grande Halle de La Villette (Paris), among others. He has been artist in residence at SOMA (Mexico City), Casa de Velázquez (Madrid), Matadero Madrid, and Cittadellarte (Biella). In 2017 he published Itineraries and Detours of a Migrating Monument. Since 2013, he has collaborated closely with artist Eulàlia Rovira.
