Florencia Rojas
Florencia Rojas (born 1984, Argentina) is a Madrid-based visual artist whose practice moves between photography, contemporary art production, and critical research methodologies. Incorporating video and installation, her work explores narrative, memory, and materiality, developing spatial systems that question dominant forms of visibility and storytelling.
She holds a Master’s degree in Contemporary Art Production from the University of Málaga and a Master’s degree in Concept and Creation through Photography from EFTI Madrid, and has completed further studies in critical museology and artistic research at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía.
Recent solo exhibitions include Como una casa (Galería Rosa Santos, Valencia), Avenida de los Poblados, sin número (Espacio OTR, Madrid), and En los mismos ríos / Ibai berberetan (Festival Mapamundistas, Pamplona). She has undertaken residencies at Matadero Madrid, Ifitry (Morocco), and Co-net Residence (Castellón), and has received distinctions such as the Nebrija Acquisition Award and the SÛ Collection Award at Feria Estampa. Her practice engages critically with archive, territory, and narrative within contemporary art discourse.
