Miguel Rep

Miguel Rep (Miguel Repiso, San Isidro, 1961) is an Argentine cartoonist, graphic humorist, comic artist, and muralist. Self-taught, he published his first drawing at age 14 and has been a daily contributor to Página/12 since its inception. With a distinctive line and voice, he has published over 35 books including Bellas Artes, Buenos Aires Dibujada, 200 años de peronismo, and an illustrated version of The Divine Comedy. His work has appeared in media such as El País (Spain) and El Tiempo (Colombia), and he hosted Mundo Rep on Argentine public TV. Rep has received multiple awards including the Konex Prize (2002, 2012) and created murals across the Americas and Europe—featured at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2012) and Frankfurt Book Fair (2010). His art blends humor, history, and politics with a uniquely Argentine visual poetics. Quino described him as “Argentina’s most original cartoonist in recent years.”
