Neyen Pailamilla

Neyen Pailamilla (born 1988, Santiago, Chile) is a Mapuche visual artist and performer. She studied Contemporary Dance Education at ARCIS University and earned a Master’s in Art Theory and History at the University of Chile. Since 2016, she has been part of the Mapuche collective Rangiñtulewfü. Her work explores the body as a living archive and political space, using performance, textile, and video practices. Drawing from her Mapuche identity, she reflects on racialized identities within historical, social, and symbolic frameworks. Notable works include Etnoturismo (2017), Originaria (2018), and Mi cuerpo es un museo (2019). She has exhibited at the Museum of Memory, Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC), Salvador Allende Museum, BECH Gallery, and Balmaceda Arte Joven. Internationally, she participated in the 11th Berlin Biennale (2020) with Kurü Mapu. She currently lives and works in Switzerland.
