Rubén Carrasco

Rubén Carrasco is a Mexican visual artist whose figurative and narrative work blends emerging surrealism with classical references. He studied at the Instituto de Artes Visuales and Universidad Anáhuac in Cancún, later continuing his education at McGill University and Dawson College in Montreal. His imagery draws from Greco-Roman sculpture and South Asian ethnic aesthetics, creating surreal worlds that question modern perceptions. Beyond his art practice, he has worked as a tattooist, muralist, set designer, and graphic artist. A global traveler, Carrasco has lived and exhibited across Europe and the Americas. Now based in Montreal, he collaborated with the Mexican Consulate as a jury member for the Espacio México art program and is co-founder of the FIAP and IPAF art festivals.
