Analee Davis
Annalee Davis (Barbados, 1963) is a visual artist, writer, and cultural producer whose practice intersects biography, history, and post-plantation economies in Barbados. Working with installation, drawing, video, and performance, she explores themes of displacement, memory, and land. She founded Fresh Milk (2011), co-founded Caribbean Linked (2012), Tilting Axis (2015), and curatorial agency Sour Grass (2020), strengthening Caribbean contemporary art networks. Davis has exhibited internationally and worked as a curator, teacher, and researcher. In 2023 she presented Garden of Hope at the historic Hope Plantation in Barbados and was featured in Spirit in the Land at the Nasher Museum of Art, traveling in 2024 to the Pérez Art Museum Miami.
